Watch video
[00:00:08 – 00:00:12] This video will show you how to get started on HSBCnet.
[00:00:12 – 00:00:15] You’ll receive an email, which will give you your username
[00:00:16 – 00:00:20] You’ll need to generate an activation code, which will be sent to you as an SMS
[00:00:22 – 00:00:27] The activation code will be valid for one-hundred (100) seconds. Go to HSBCnet to log on using these details.
[00:00:37 – 00:00:31] You’re now ready to confirm your user information and set up your security device.
[00:00:32 – 00:00:38] Switch on your device and select the image on the HSBCnet page that matches with what’s shown on the device
[00:00:38 – 00:00:41] If you’ve selected NEW PIN, we’ll now show you how to proceed.
[00:00:43 – 00:00:50] You’ll need to enter a PIN of your choice into your security device. It will need to have four (4) to eight (8) random, and non-sequential digits.
[00:00:51 – 00:00:54] When this is done, you’ll need to re-confirm your PIN.
[00:00:55 – 00:01:00] You’re almost done. Enter the serial number from the back of your security device without adding spaces or hyphens.
[00:01:01 – 00:01:09] The final step is to sign in to your security device again to generate a six (6) digit security code, which you enter here. You’re now logged in.
[00:01:10 – 00:01:16] Review your information to ensure it’s correct, and update anything that’s missing. You need to ensure all mandatory fields are complete.
[00:01:17 – 00:01:25] Now you will need to set up your HSBCnet credentials. You can change your username, and you’ll need to create a memorable question and answer.
[00:01:26 – 00:01:37] For security reason, please don’t include your name, company name, or username in your password.
[00:01:33 – 00:01:34] Make your security questions and answers easy to remember, but hard for anyone else to guess.
[00:01:39 – 00:01:41] This helps to make it safer, when we need to identify you.
[00:01:42 – 00:01:48] Read and accept our Privacy and Data Protection statement, as well as our Terms and Conditions.
[00:01:52 – 00:01:55] You’ve now completed the first time log on process
